Quaint. Casual. Cool.  A few words that would describe Florida Pizza Kitchen.

It was Don Webb’s, owner of Florida Pizza kitchen, vision to create the relaxed approach to his restaurant...colorful, good ambiance, great views and exceptional food!

Fresh. Vibrant. Those words come to mind when you mention the menu. The most notable aspect of Webb’s vision of a beach pizza business was the pizzas themselves. They come in several varieties but in two categories, a traditional red sauce and a gourmet-style white Alfred sauce pizza.  Whether it’s something as adventurous as the “Crawfish Classic” or as straight forward as a “Pepperoni Classic”, the flavors are rich and colorful and memorable. You literally can’t wait for your next bite.

The rest of the menu consists of unique, nice-portioned salads and huge calzones that are meals in themselves and are bursting with fresh flavors. Florida Pizza Kitchen even offers the full spectrum of varieties of Blue Sky Sodas® and an awesome, fresh, kitchen-made desserts such as Lemon Icebox Pie or Caramel Custard Flan to round out your taste bud travels.  Florida Pizza Kitchen uses the freshest ingredients available and uses organic products whenever possible. They bake their own bread and make their own do pizza dough, even a whole wheat version.

Florida Pizza Kitchen is not a ‘chain” and everyone that works there has a smile for all that walks in the door and gives them that special “local” treatment.  The restaurant will work with you for special parties and events or just set you up for a tasty, sunset, beachside picnic.

The Florida Pizza Kitchen is a vision complete. A pizzeria that offers a “different” type of pizza and salads. Different, as in “better than what the average person is used to”. Don Webb, who has over thirty years experience as a restaurateur with, as he humbly describes as, “some pretty good restaurants” opened the original version of the Florida Pizza Kitchen in back in 1996. After a few years, he took a hiatus to pursue other projects and in 2008 reopened in its original place on Pensacola Beach.
To sum up the Florida Pizza Kitchen experience in a short description is a difficult task, but it is definitely two things. It is a true beach-type counter-style café that just begs you to appreciate the casual energy of our island lifestyle and it is the `X-marks-the-spot` of a treasure find when it comes to the absolute best pizza in the area. This Pensacola Beach hotspot is a true gourmet pizza kitchen, island-style!

“When you prefer quality”, as the slogan says, eat at Florida Pizza Kitchen on beautiful Pensacola Beach!
